Why I’m Running

Georgians deserve a Labor Commissioner with vision and leadership.

The Department of Labor is supposed to provide a safety net for working Georgians. But our current labor commissioner has failed Georgia. As a successful entrepreneur and working mom, I know firsthand the challenges Georgia’s working families face.

I’ll ensure the safety net works and unemployment benefits are paid quickly. And I’ll work with businesses, colleges, and unions to ensure everyone has the tools, training, and resources to succeed in Georgia’s economy.

Meet Nicole

I’m an entrepreneur and working mom, who built and ran a small business for 15 years with my husband, so I understand the challenges faced by business owners. I’m also the daughter of a proud lifetime union member, so I understand the importance of a strong workforce with a clear voice.

Strengthening Georgia

We must do more to strengthen how the Labor Department works in Georgia. 

• Fix our state’s broken unemployment system so out-of-work Georgians get their benefits faster.
• Bring down skyrocketing childcare costs for working families to make it easier for them to make ends meet.
• Protect workers’ rights and actually enforce antidiscrimination laws in the workplace.
• Expand job training and apprenticeship opportunities by working with unions and technical colleges.
• Deploy mobile career centers so underserved communities can easily get the support they need.
